Early Childhood Management Services (ECMS) is a for-purpose organisation fostering lifelong learning by providing high-quality early learning and care for Victoria’s children, families, and communities. We work with over 5,500 children in our 68 kindergarten and childcare centres weekly
Our pedagogy
At ECMS, our pedagogical positions bring into focus our philosophical commitments, which privilege the importance of developmental perspectives and place-based pedagogy. Our pedagogical position of evidence-based is purposeful in reminding us that current and contemporary evidence is available to explicitly guide us in what matters most for children to have a strong learning trajectory.
Cultivating a learning culture
In pursuing our purpose of lifelong learning, we use a relationship-centred coaching approach, focusing on the importance of connection, self-care, curiosity, and goal-centred growth. We are committed to creating an experience where learners, both children and educators feel seen, heard and valued.
